Rachael Plays Guitar is a Phoenix-based singer-songwriter whose music lives in a world of her own making. She blends a soulful introspection and vibe reminiscent of Amy Winehouse with a Norah Jones like vocal tone, the lyrical honesty and musical exploration of Mac Miller, and the guitar-driven storytelling of John Mayer—crafting a sonic space that’s both familiar and uniquely her own.
Rachael’s songwriting is rooted in real-life experiences—grief, identity, growth—and her voice utilizing both production and simplicity finds light in the process. She’s worked with hip hop legends like Kurupt and Kxng Krooked with her 2023 album, “Bitter Songs that Sound Sweet,” leaning into a full 6 piece live indie band vibe. She is currently working on her third full length project.
Her sound is raw but melodic and her latest music with producer, Killa Maus explores a brand new sonic landscape that has already garnered some radio attention in local markets. Both nostalgic and fresh, “Tides,” is a deep dive into the beyond pushing her creatively to the next level.
